Montevideo is a film making collective producing short films, documentaries and other video content.

Established in 2004, Montevideo grew out of our work in Local TV and a series of community media projects. We had shared ambitions to make a living working with video but under our own terms.

Although we have dispersed geographically the spirit of the project is still clear. We are a freethinking group of filmmakers and designers with international roots and outlook. We have a shared interest in trying to produce imaginative, positive films.

Loosely based between the North of England and France we are known to pop up all over Europe.

We continue to pursue our ambitions and one of the offshoots of the Montevideo project has been the development of Morph Films, a media production company based in Lancaster in the North West of England.
